چکیده
Abstract A 14-year-old boy presented with left preauricular painless swelling of 10 months' duration. Local examination revealed a 3 × 2-cm, firm, nodular, nonmobile mass in the area, just front tragus. Fine needle aspiration yielded paucicellular smears comprising singly scattered histiocyte/myofibroblast-like spindle cells and occasional giant cells. It was reported as benign mesenchymal lesion on cytology. Left superficial parotidectomy performed. Histopathological immunohistochemical analysis confirmed diagnosis nodular fasciitis (NF). an ill-circumscribed cellular neoplasm, abutting focally infiltrating into otherwise normal parotid gland. The tumor comprised arranged short bundles storiform pattern interspersed osteoclast-like cells, foam extravasated red blood (RBCs), focal areas keloidal collagenization. were positive for smooth muscle actin negative CD34, beta-catenin, S100, pan-cytokeratin. Introduction: Nodular fasciitis is described as a benign reactive proliferation of myofibroblasts. Due to its rapid-growing nature, a precise clinical diagnosis is difficult and the condition is frequently misdiagnosed as malignant lesions. Case Report: In this study, we present the case of a young woman with an auricular nodular fasciitis as an example of one of the rarest sites of this tumo...

متن کاملA Rare Case of Cutaneous Leishmaniasis Presenting as Rhinophyma
Cutaneous leishmaniasis(CL) is referred to a group of diseases because of the varied clinical presentation, ranging from small cutaneous nodule to wide spread mucosal destruction. The nose is rarely involved by CL in even in endemic region. In this report we describe a rare rhinophymatous presentation of CL from a non-endemic region which was diagnosed by fine needle sampling and treated with M...

An ovarian source of androgen was suspected and a surgery performed. A diagnosis ...
